Directions to Denmark

Denmark is one hour west of Portland. Google Maps or MapQuest or your GPS set to 62 East Main Street, Denmark, ME 04022 will probably give you the most direct route. The following are simple routes with few turns and may not be the fastest but will get you here.

Coming from the south the easiest route is to take I-95 north to exit 48 – Riverside Street/ME-25/US-302. Follow signs to take you west on US-302. You will drive through Windham, Raymond, and Naples on the way to Bridgton. Just before reaching Bridgton's downtown you will take a left on Rt 117, at Paris Farmer's Union. The Denmark Municipal Building is located on the right side of Rt 117 (East Main Street), 6.7 mile (approximately 10 minutes) from this junction.

If coming from the north you probably know how to get to Portland. Follow Rte 302 west as above whether you come from “the city” or the turnpike exit in Gray.

From the New Hampshire side we are about 20 minutes from the border, 30-35 minutes from North Conway by way of Fryeburg. In Fryeburg turn right at the light on 302 onto 113/5 at the obelisk. After about a ten minute drive turn left onto 160. Follow Rt 160 about 8 miles straight onto Rt 117 and the Denmark Municipal Building will be on your left just past Jimbob's Store.

There are other ways to get to Denmark from the west or back roads from here and there. You have a general idea where the town is located and can check your map or “Google” and MapQuest to find what works best for you. Be advised that Google may send you off at Biddeford – not the easiest way. Choose what seems best for you and let us know if you have questions.
